You in the north car park, GM? That's a nice little amble over the dam. In fact, if it's a bit cold, and you're not in a major rush, you can dump your warm-up clothes as you'll run past the car on the way out.

I guess it's the North car park, Sykes Lane? According to the website there are two, the other being Normanton which is a dam ('scuse the pun) site closer to the start/finish. So I was considering ignoring the instructions and parking there, I am going to have to pay either way. Do the organisers have any way of checking who parks where?

Ooh. I get free parking, on account of working with Anglian Water, so I can park where I jolly well like. Smug, I know, but it's not often I get to use that "perk".

yes the mother is ill in bed with a tummy bug(she will be 70 in 3 days)
