Anyone here do Rutland Parkrun? What would be my chances of running it and making it to my brother’s wedding at Normanton Church at 10am?!! Anywhere I can wash and change before I go? This is only semi-serious, I imagine my family will be furious if I even attempt it! |

I've not done the parkrun there but I believe that you would be fine as the start is by the church. There's Normanton Park Hotel that you might be able to use to change as that's where the post parkrun cafe is. Do it.

Luckily it’s not a super posh wedding so I might get away with it!!!

We quite often have pre-wedding runners - we've had brides, grooms, and assorted family and friends. It adds to the fun - I hope you're able to do it, Liliaicha!

I wouldn't risk family fury, but it's the kind of thing that makes a day fun.

I measured the course and we had to move the start in the early days to past the driveway to the Church as we were in danger of blocking Wedding traffic with streams of runners going both out and back!! It's a beautiful setting for a Wedding and consequently very popular and very busy Whilst there's toilets available which the runners use, I'm really not sure about shower facilities unless you are a guest at the nearby hotel, which is walking distance from both the start/finish and Church The "official" parkrun cafe is alongside the fishing shop where you get your reduced parkrun parking ticket rather than the Normanton Hotel Any other questions just ask |

You could do a volunteer role in your posh frock pre Wedding? Volunteer tourism, the next big thing!! |
