Running shadow - elegant or elephant?

Was having a lovely run this morning, then my shadow was visible ahead and to my right - a mix of quasimodo and a baby elephant. Bastard.

I have found my shadow is looking better than previous thanks to lockdown weight loss, still from for improvement

Mine is with yours Rosehip - I reckon they've been out on the town (when they haven't been loafing on the sofa). I can identify with lumbering buffoon and sloth too. Geordiegirl, I salute you (am wearing day of the dead leggings today).

Switt, I always suspected as much!

I can get my head round shadows, but I remember as a younger runner imagining that I looked like a paler Joyce Chepchumba then catching sight of my reflection in a shop window and discovering that I looked like a tree stump having a tantrum. I moved to somewhere with fewer shop windows after that.

I think my shadow often looks considerably better than me. Taller, thinner, better form and generally holding a slight lead.
