Burb - Sounds good. That is the only thing about the book that is a bit confusing. I think he does it for reason - so you just do it by effort and feel. Gobi's pacing ideas are good.

I just read it and found it interesting and something I can see myself going back to. If only to count the number of times he uses the word RANGY, it's like a rash all over the book!

I wonder if he got a D Phil in name-dropping from Oxford. (Did he mention he went to Oxford?).

Read about half of this today and thought it was interesting in the way it mixed motivational anecdote and coaching tips/lore. The reasons behind the recommendations for two sessions a day are interesting. The thing that comes through very strongly is his love of running.

Hello everyone.

I have been increasing my cadence like he recommends over the past couple of weeks. It has really helped my legs feel much fresher even though I'm actually running faster. Before this I was running to what I felt was easy. It was making me feel slow and rubbish to be honest. It does get your heart rate up a bit more but it does not make me feel any more tired, infact I feel the best I have in a long time.

I was looking at his half marathon/marathon schedule. Quite hardcore even if you reduce the mileage!

Anyone else trying anything from the book?

Nice fartlek for me tonight and cross country on Saturday. Mr Goater will be proud!

Any news from anyone else?
