What I talk about when I talk about running, by Haruki Murakami.
Very much a book about dealing with what your body is capable of as you age.

Don't choose "Zen and the Art of Running". It tells you that it's OK to quit as you get older.

'Running past 50' I didn't care for at all. The Tulloh one's not bad.

Some of the best information I've found is in relatively serious but more general books - like John Shepherd's 'Complete Guide to Sport Training' - which has adaptations for juniors and masters.

I bought "Running Until You're 100". Its USP is that it recommends run-walking and I really don't like that idea. I guess for Sharkie it would be anathaema. There are lots of inspirational characters in it. These include the author's parents. I on the other hand am a million times better at running than my parents, so there.

Got something to say?
