Anyone got any recommendations among these books or others? Running Until You're 100, 3rd Ed by Jeff Galloway (4 stars in Amazon) Masters Running: A Guide to Running and Staying Fit... by Hal Higdon (2.5 stars in Amazon) Running Past 50 (Ageless Athlete Series) by Richard Benyo (3.5 stars) |

What I talk about when I talk about running, by Haruki Murakami. Very much a book about dealing with what your body is capable of as you age. |

Don't choose "Zen and the Art of Running". It tells you that it's OK to quit as you get older. |

'Running past 50' I didn't care for at all. The Tulloh one's not bad. Some of the best information I've found is in relatively serious but more general books - like John Shepherd's 'Complete Guide to Sport Training' - which has adaptations for juniors and masters. |

I bought "Running Until You're 100". Its USP is that it recommends run-walking and I really don't like that idea. I guess for Sharkie it would be anathaema. There are lots of inspirational characters in it. These include the author's parents. I on the other hand am a million times better at running than my parents, so there. |
