As on a reverse taper I was on 3:2 today, really enjoyed it.

Hello. I’ve rediscovered run/walk and have been out this morning doing 2/1. I really enjoyed it, although I’m at the early stages of running again. I used to do 5/1 but I’m not sure I’m up to that yet.

Realised during the week that I haven’t run more than 4 miles for ages and I have a 10k event at the end of August, so decided to aim for 6 miles today. Started at 60:30 as that’s my running buddy’s ratio, but dropped to 30:30 after a mile due to the heat. Last mile did 25:25 and caught up with my friend by 5.5 miles as she’d dropped down to 30:30. It was a fairly sedate pace today, but miles in the legs were more important.

Brilliant 30/30 EPixie. I sometimes do a double when I'm 30/30...but since COVID a couple of weeks ago I'm ashamed to say I've doubled the walk more often!
Great to see you threading again jennywren! I was doing 5/1 some months ago but now stalled but enjoying 30/30.

What a good session/distance lin50.
I'm stuck at around the 4 mile - 4.5 mile limit currently; 4.2 at 30/30 this morning was ok in lovely fresh 12c. Am patiently waiting to feel I can up my game.

I’ve not tried 30/30. Do you not find you can’t get in a rhythm for either pace? I guess I should try it shouldn’t I? ;-)

30/30 is great. You do get into a nice rhythm of not too much running, not too long walking. It's sort of its own metronome and keeps you focussed.

30:30 is a very agreeable if leisurely way of covering distance. Esp in this kind of weather.

put some extra effort into my run bits this morning and pace is definitely improving and I wasn't "dead" either which is positive.

The heat is making me venture out before work so shorter runs and I keep looking back and going "oh I haven't done much" rather than accepting this week may be shorter due to weather!

I’m going to struggle with running in this predicted (it hasn’t arrived yet) hot weather. Went for a 7.5m walk in Lyme Park today instead.
