Go to Train > Add training and you can click on the file type - usually FIT for Garmin and pick up the file from your watch.

Yes, should be ok with a 235 if you have the original cable - some older watches cables are just power cables, the newer ones allow data transfer as well. When you plug it in to a PC/laptop it should show as a drive under My PC
