Speed sessions. Now that's an idea I've not done (much) before! Be a bit difficult with jeans on. 🤣

26 days down, 4 to go. Spiced things up today by including a fast (for me) 5k to give me a baseline for my next plan, which is Project Joker in Oct & Nov. Never done much speed work being more of a long slow plodder so was shocked to take 1.45 off my fastest (of 2) previous 5k time. Obviously the increased mileage over the summer and running every day has done something for me!

A rare daylight into dusk foray for me... bats were flitting around as I ran into our Close to finish - lovely!

Nice surprise 5K PB there Cheeky's Dad - well done.

the thing about RTS from a training point of view is that it is fairly sensible. it has periodicity at its heart. that said I'm tired!

Thanks all - it was a surprise to me for sure. The downside is I'll definitely have to work hard on Project Joker to go faster

Well done CD :-)

It's interesting - I thought I'd be struggling more and more this last phase, particularly after a really sluggish run on Friday, but yesterday's was better and today's felt even easier, even though it was longer. I think that training effect is coming through. Looking forward to a fake parkrun on Saturday to see if there's any difference in performance.

What a change over the week. Monday's run vest and seat everywhere. Today long sleeve top over vest, gloves.
