When I heard the commentators in the second half talking about Kolisi's six miles total walk to and from school, and being South Africa's first black captain and people saying how it had the potential to change the trajectory of the country, I started thinking I might be supporting England, but yeah good on them, they deserve this.

TRO Saracen
Saw some shots of thousands of black folk dancing and celebrating in the townships. The Boks were the very symbol pf the white Afrikaner, not any more. Transformational indeed. Great scenes, cheered me up despite the shellacking we got.

In other news, I get to listen to further disappointment later. But I enjoyed watching Baths best players on either side of today match. At least none of them came off with major injury.

Well having started out supporting England I had reverted to my Scottish roots by the end And seeing the pure joy of the SA team in their celebrations I'm not sorry they win. |

A double whammy in the southern hemisphere, with the GB RL Lions losing to NZ 12-8.

Good summary by Cheg in the blogs. Cannot link but worth a read. For some reason this is the only comment I have been able to type! |
