DeeGee... I think I might have seen you running towards the finish from where I had collapsed by the baggage tent :)

Did we not cross paths on the interminable out-and-back past Holme Pierrepont Hall?

I had 26.44 on my Garmin which is pretty usual for a 26 385 certified course, it's virtually impossible to keep on the racing line and you have to remember that 0.01 is only 17 yards, take a few corners a bit wide, weave around some people, go over to a drinks station and that's 17 yards in no time! Plus these Garmins are not spot on to your position, there is a setting on the 310XT anyway that has how accurately it has you placed, and often it's only within 15 to 20 feet, so average that out, trees and buildings blocking the accuracy a bit sometimes and that's why they're never spot on... I had Berlin at 26.9 and you know that course is well measured! But it's good to about 1% I reckon...

I did the half but in my club vest. I did see Hippo briefly in the kit tent and on the course.

foxy, I was really disappointed with the way the finish was as it meant I missed your aeroplane. With about 400m to go you were only about 20m ahead, I got excited that I would see the aeroplane but cos the finish zig zagged so much and you gained another 10-20m on me I missed it

I am truely pleased with myself for opting to spectate

i am far to unwell to run at moment - both physically and mentally - and if i had of taken on even the HM , it would have been only to say i'd done it- and i could'nt see the point, i would have suffered badly

but we enjoyed our day spectating
