my right knee is painful when I walk so haven't even attempted to run.
Pain is on inside, almost at top of fib and working its way into the knee and under the knee cap.
Full range of movement although a bit stiff. full quad and hamstring range, do pain on dorsiflexion or planter flexion of anckle.
pain when walking to the point sometimes it makes me go ouch and almost limp or feels like its going to give way.
can stand on one leg for 20 seconds and ok
had for a few month, no injury or fall.
same with all shoes I wear.
wondering if I need my orthotics looking at?
want to start running but don't feel comfortable enough

I would get this looked at properly. Knees that feel unstable probably warrant further investigation, or at least clinical assessment by someone who knows about knees.
It might turn out to be nothing, but it isnt going away.
I wouldn't run on it until its been looked at.
