This thread is for all those who've applied (Ballot or Charity Gold Bond place) to start bantering; possibly find ride partners / groups to ride with (once starting timeslots are known); help/advice each other; arrange Fetch Meetpoints for supporters around the route & who knows, maybe organise some post race sherbets & shennanigans!!! A good group of Fetchies formed for the Inaugural RideLondon100 & we had 96 pages of good willed banter, support & advice... lets see that continue on for the 2014 Ride... Ballot opens next week, let's hope a few more of us get selected this year... |

I'm in the 'hoping to do it' camp. Got my first 100k ride on 15 September and have really fallen in love with cycling training for it.

@Wobbling: one thing I can say after my 1st 100 Mile Cycle Ride... It doesn't hurt anything like running for 13-26 Miles or 50K! Yes, it's hard work & you get a sore bum(!) but, the body does not ache anything like it does after a Marathon & following day, i'm just chilling with no twinges! reckon lots of wannabees will now be applying next week... |

Thought for the Day: if approx. 16,500 people started yesterdays RideLondon100 & 15,883 finished... Did 3,500 people defer??? If yes, that's a bit shite, especially for everyone who was rejected for this year's Ballot... |

i so want to do it. i was too slow applying this year. but since discovered i have ME so that was a blessing in disguise. now i have to decide whether to risk it for next year and hope i'm better. does anyone know if you have to pay again if you defer like for vlm? |
