For shoes - how roomy the toe box is would be helpful. And what other shoes they're a bit like.

And for tops, do they hide or accentuate armpit fat?*

* - I realise that I might be the only person who cares about this.

Thanks V'rap.

HOD - that's why I'm asking for some review angles that reflect something a bit more like we do things here on Fetch.

A chafing index for clothing.
Speed of satellite lock for GPS units.
Tendency to randomly place you five streets away, also for GPS units.

Shoes: details of teh actual terrain they are tested on, and how they cope. So I'd like to see road shoes tested on grass/trail/off road, just to see exactly how slippy they are.

can we have the shoe vs barefoot test for each one? (this may be a little mean)

It's all about running with said kit in real situations I think - maybe one piece of kit, seven fetchies? (maybe washing inbetween reviews) to compare how different types of runners find them? (so different speed/race types/times of day runners?)

Clothing should definitely include washing between tests - ease/speed of drying, colour fastness (had a disaster once with OH & a dayglo yellow cycling jacket...); running tops - do they ride up when you're wearing another layer on top, sweat-wicking properties against claims made, are the sleeves long enough; sports bras - whether you can fit a HRM underneath without causing scarring; accuracy of sizing - I find 'medium' ranges hugely from being slightly small to being huge - bothersome when shopping on-line especially.

That's true, AL. Smelliness factor: I've had a few tops it's impossible to get rid of sweat smell from, had to ditch them. Cut: flattering or makes you look like a fucking beached whale, comfort, warmth, longevity definitely, any useful stuff like thumb loops (I love thumb loops). These may not apply very well to GPS watches :)
