Have had a Garmin 305 for 9 years and had it sorted a few times but has now officially died. Can anyone recomend something cheapish that basically had a sat nav and can tell me miles ran and at what pace, no other functionality required ??

The Garmin 10 is the most basic one that I'm aware of. You can pick them up for about £80 on Amazon: amzn.to

I'm a fan of the TomTom Runner watches: amzn.to

Cotty - I've got the TT3 on my wrist right now, and I've been plugging away at a review. Anything you want to know about it?

Ooh, +1 for me for vivoactive. 3 vivoactive recommendations on one page - interesting!

£120 (about same as 305 was back in the day?) - fine for GPS, pace, distance, time.
heart Compatible with 305's HR monitor strap, if you like HR.

bolt And then all the clever new stuff: Facebook, email, text and call alerts on your wrist. Weather, music etc.

blueshoes Fitbitty stuff, steps, step goal
:-) Best bit - finds satellites fast, and uploads quickly and reliably via your phone.

Small, slim, decent battery life. I wear it as an every day watch, same as minardi above.

:-) G

It's the TT2 I was looking at, will have a look at the Garmin 10. Basically all I want to be able to do is see how far I have run and at what pace and I always log it on here but have been doing that manually for years !! Thanks for help going to look at reviews.
