The battery in my 405 has finally given up the ghost, only lasts an hour on full charge (had it 6 years so can't complain too much). I remember that Garmin were supplying a refurbished watch for £50(ish) if you sent yours back, anyone know if they still do this?

I've seen refurbished 405s on Amazon etc for £80. Sorry no idea how much garmin charge but would possibly be interested in getting mine refurbished. Had mine too for 6 years and I would say it has no more than 3 hours charge left.

I've read about Garmin giving upgrades to newer models for a discount, but not sure if that is when under warranty.

Surely they can replace the battery for you for cheaper than that?

Email Garmin to find out if they still do it. It's a good way of getting a practically new 405, so worth finding out.
