Parkrun has been called off this saturday due to 'adverse weather conditions'
Shame! as I am sure other Parkruns will be running regardless. Surely people run at their own risk......?

It's very dangerous out there Anj, don't underestimate the dangers of snow. I had a near miss with a snowflake in Winchester last night it could have taken my head off.

Too Much Water
just back from running Reading
course was ok, the usual pools of standing water were iced over (until i ran over them as it is part of the course)
lovely running on the varying powder and crunchy snow, a couple of people were out running the course as well
IMO it was ok to run on - but i was not running fast, and i wasn't making the call on behalf of parkrun about 24-18 hours ago.

Mr. K.
Always a tough call to make. Remember Wokingham Half was called off - never can please all of the people all of the time.

completely agree
what is fine for an individual to do on a whim is far different for an organisation to commit to. you have to make the best decision at the time, based on the information you are aware of at that time.
