I was glad I’d read it and found some of the writing sublime, but also had reservations. I really enjoyed book of memory and Half of a Yellow Sun for African authors. It’s been a lot of years since I read Things Fall Apart but the title has certainly stayed with me

Irony and observation rather than knockabout. Verbose would be putting it kindly. Interestingly it comes highly recommended by Dave Eggars who I thought did McGoohans flooring. Must get about
