for 1977 I recently just read my first ever Ruth Rendell "A Judgement In Stone" which I thought was excellent, right from the opening sentence:
"Eunice Parchman killed the Coverdale family because she could not read or write."

so since last report in Oct'19 when I had 11 remaining:
I am a year older, so added a book for 2019, so 12 more to account for;

have read 8 more:
2011: The Sisters Brothers deWitt, Patrick - 8.5
1977: Judgement In Stone, A Rendell, Ruth - 9
2006: White Man Falling Stocks, Mike - 8
2001: Bold As Love Jones, Gwyneth - 7
1987: Bonfire Of The Vanities, The Wolfe, Tom - 9.5
1968: Camp Concentration Disch, Thomas M. - 8
1979: A Dry White Season, A Brink, Andre - 7.5
2014: Station Eleven Mandel, Emily St.John - 6.5

so 52 down, 4 to go, which I hope to cram in before my next birthday near end of January, so that I don't have to add a 2020 book!
those last 4:
2019: The Wall Lanchester, John
1975: Hello Summer, Goodbye Coney, Michael G.
2005: Beyond Black Mantel, Hilary
2004: Air Ryman, Geoff

I’ve got about 10 to go - just finished what I thought would be my 1995 book, checked the blurb and realised that although Goodreads said published in 95, it’s actually 1994 so I need to find another!
