My club holds a 20 Mile race in March and we have done a Tech T-Shirt with a sensible choice of sizes as the race memento since 2008, we have tried to keep it interesting by mixing up the colours but I feel that tech race shirts have pretty much reached saturation point. So to change things a bit I suggested that we do a vest for 2018 possibly these from AWD printed appropriately

I have however been met with the idea that people would not wear running vests for a variety of reasons. What do people think? Would a vest rather than a T-Shirt be a let-down or would people be pleased to have something different?

20 milers around here (Ashby/Oakley) do hoodies and races of other distances don't tend to, so it makes a nice change. I don't tend to wear vests and have too many long and short sleeved tech shirts.

Hardly ever wear a vest, apart from club vest at races, so I'd prefer a long sleeved tech T if you're looking for something slightly different.

A hoodie would also be good, but costs would prohibit this I'd imagine unless you were prepared to increase the race cost.

I'd be delighted with a vest.

Hoodies and long sleeved shirts are out of our price range, we charge £18 affiliated.

I’d only wear a vest on race day, so I only really need the one vest. A Tech T-Shirt, on the other hand, can be worn around the house and on training runs so would be more useful to me (even though I’ve got loads of them). Paul’s Long-sleeve suggestion is better still. Loch Ness Marathon very kindly swapped my finishers T-Shirt for long sleeved versions in 2014 & 2015, and I still wear them on training runs every week.

^ Doh! I clearly hit the submit button just as you ruled out long sleeves.

I've never worn a race t-shirt, they're always too big and designed and made for men, I prefer to have a bit of bling.

Our club did a buff a few years ago that went down well.

I wear vests in the summer (if we get one) and when I'm doing gym stuff so it would work for me.

Then again I'm not going to be running a 20 mile race so........
