OH cycles, but suffers a lot from cold feet during longer rides - he has tried various thermal socks and has waterproof overshoes without success - as his Birthday is approaching I'm willing to try and find him something else to try, has anyone any suggestions? Thanks x

Defeet Woolie Boolies. Excellent kit. Other option for deep mid winter riding is a pair of Goretex cycling boots. They work better than overshoes, but also cost a fair bit more. |

I think the old boys used to use a combination of clingfilm and tinfoil, sometimes polythene bags on really cold days. Not much of a gift though!

Pedals that are heated by energy generated by turning the cranks. The harder you cycle, the warmer your feet are. Or these: littlehottieswarmers.com |

Does he wear shorts? Maybe treat him to some windproof full length leggings? If his extremities are getting cold it might not be those parts of his body that are the problem.

I resorted to sandwich bags a while back and I have to say they worked a treat ![]() |
