Great quality sessions being reported in this thread :)

I did a micro quality session on Tues as we had an England Athletics coach and marathoner, Kevin Quinn, come to run a short session for us. Some useful drills and then we did 3 sets of 30 seconds at mile pace, 20 seconds recovery. 60 seconds between sets. I haven't done a session like this for a while (think most of my speedwork has been at 3k pace or slower) so my calves actually have a touch of DOMS!

No other quality sessions planned for this week as I have a race on Sunday.

I have a 31 mile fell ultra in March and need to find a balance of long slow runs and some quality work

That sounds like a really nice session, auburnette :) (I say that as someone whose mile pace and 5k pace aren't all that far apart.)

I've been out and done Quality. Almost 130 minutes of it. Promised myself I'd do a committing 12ish mile loop to the seaside and back which I've cycled millions of times but never run. I was rewarded with the most gorgeous running conditions and no HGVs on the small roads.
