London Fetchies - is it possible for us to stay in Bromley and get to the start of the Prudential Ride London in Stratford in the morning by train?

TFL journey planner suggests it might be possible, but it will depend on what station you're travelling from and what time you need to get there by.

There are 2 or 3 changes so it might not be that practical with a bike.

I haven't done this before but some of the start times are very early (I've done the 46 which was a bit later). Annoyingly you don't get your wave time until quite close to the event so planning ahead can be tricky.
I guess you need to check whether you can easily bring a bike or need to book it as there will be others doing the same thing

I'm riding the full route this year. I've booked a hotel close to the start, as even riding from central London to the park for the start of the 46 took a lot longer than I'd imagined.

I may come and spectate this year...from the turnoff towards Newlands Corners...it's about 7 miles from home. An easy cycle from home.

Thank you - I hadn't thought that there would be a journey planner. Not that it really helped answer my question. We will have to try and stay nearby.

I've booked the premier inn by excel. I can park my car there and get to the start easily. Quite a few on the ride london page were talking about staying at Queen Mary's in east London.

Thank you for the offer lammo but I'm not riding it. Merely logistics and support! My OH will be doing the actual pedalling :-)

Got something to say?
