Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Project Joker in action. Managed to knock just under a minute off my 5k time in the past 9 days. Not sure I can manage that again this week 😀

Thanks B. It is only an SB but it shows the Project in action I think. 😉

I def need to get to parkrun and attempt a better 5K.

I get your point though Glenn, though 15mm is taking it a bit too far

(wrote a long post and decided I'll blog instead)

I think my paces are about right (my parkrun time was recent and a full effort on a flat course) but I haven't been doing them exactly just putting in the right effort because my sessions have been different e.g. this week: club track session with different intervals, hilly offroad parkun for the threashold session, and long run which was offroad, very hilly and over two hours. I hope it doesn't mess up the science ;-)

We did a family interval session in the park yesterday. If I keep that up I'm bound to get faster (I hope). Coming in to marathon season which doesn't usually help my 5k speed.

I did my first parkrun of the year on Saturday which was my nearly PW so my LSR pace is over 15 too - much too slow. I plan to use pr as Threshold too and I know the time will come tumbling down over the first few weeks.

My question is: should I update the Benchmark figure or will that take me back to day 1?

I think if you update the parkrun time it will take you back to week one
