A separate thread from the 'Politics' one focusing on the General Election result. Where people can predict the result and majority. I'm struggling to come up with a prediction, but, I'm gonna stick my neck out and guess at a 58 seat Tory majority. |

How hung AndrewS? I think a very slim, just about unworkable Tory win, based on the fact they seem to be in trouble around here, that the Labour vote is hardening in their traditional areas, the SNP vote is pretty solid (they might lose a seat or two to the cons), so I think it could be quite exciting....I'll have a pint or two after voting, which is my own tradition. Tory Majority of 5, yes Five. |

65 Tory majority. Disappointingly. Just looking at my own constituency. 806 Tory majority over Labour in a 2 horse race. But there's 4600 UKIP votes from last time to be redistributed. At best I can hope that they split 50:50, more likely 90:10 to the Tories. So even if Labour make progress in growing their vote, the UKIP swing back to the Tories will boost their numbers. I'm looking towards a gloomy Thursday / Friday night, but I'll stay up to watch just in case... |

They had a majority of 98 over Labour at the last election. Hmm. I'm going with a Conservative Majority of 140. The polls are bollocks: I think Labour will have a terrible night.
