Couple of spoons of peanut butter straight from the jar if it's 10 or more. Otherwise I don't eat before morning runs.

Had a buffet breakfast on Saturday morning consisting mainly of the "protein" parts of the cooked breakfast, along with two slices of wholemeal toast. My performance on Saturday will vouch for that being a poor idea. Normally I go for toast, sometimes muesli. Pastries if I'm staying away for a marathon. |

Mullerice or a cereal bar sound like a good idea for me. No prep and quick to settle so I can be out of the door before I've had time to talk myself out of doing the LSR. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give them a go.

I have found that I don't cope well with a long run on a Sunday. I think it's just me but I like to have Sunday as a day of doing nothing at all. I tend to do my long runs on a Saturday afternoon. I only do half marathons so 12 or 13 is the longest long run I do. I have a full English breakfast in the morning, have a couple of dextrose tablets prior to the run and a couple more during the run. It works for me but I am not sure its the healthiest approach. ![]() |

Anything really. Yesterday I had nothing woke up and was out the door 5mins later. The last week I had a 10 item fry up with hot chocolate. |

I'm not known for being nutritionally sound. Tomorrow I have a double day with a run to town, pizza hut buffet then a session straight after. Now that's living up to my name ![]() |
