Hey guys Enjoyed the first 2/3. It was firmer than I expected so changed the trail shoes to roadies at half way so I can say with authority having done it with both, this is a road shoe course Last 1/3 was utter misery, rain and knackered. Came in at 5.10ish, slightly disappointing as was hoping for sub 5. Doubtless be back next year. I wonder if they will have moved the burnt out car by then |

Job done NID well done. The rain must have been an extra challenge at that point. My hands have never been so cold throughout a race. I wear old socks on my hands (which normally get binned after a few miles) over thin gloves for extra warmth and yesterday they stayed on until the finish. |
