No sugar. Traditional style made with water and salt.

My only quirk is I can't stand my milk getting warm, so I have a separate jug of milk and add a little at a time.

I don't think I have ever knowingly had porridge with water only...I might have to give it a go.

You don't have it with water, you make it with water. You then have it with cold milk.

The pureed mango in porridge worked well - it tasted like stewed apple.

Buckwheat groats, water, apple, cinnamon, pinch of salt
cooked for about 40 mins as it tastes better with a long cook. Yum. I do love stewing apples into porridge.

Porridge today made with medium oatmeal / coarse oatmeal, water and salt.

Spoiled the puritanical vibe with golden syrup, double cream and blueberries on top.

Perfect.

Porridge today was Scott's Porridge Oats, the old variety with thick milled oats. Made with milk & loads of blueberries chucked in. Lovely.

Well porridge seems to crop up regularly so I thought it could be worth a thread.

When? How often...
