Spent a lot more time stretching my calves and, touch wood, things feel a little different. Could this, along with regular stretching, be 'the end?'

You manage and live with it AOB, rather than it going away, in my experience. But if you mean "the end to it causing excruciating pain and stopping training and races" then yes, could be! #hopesotoo ! :-) G

Fingers crossed too. Iā€™m managing mine. Up to a longer run of 13 miles and doing 4 runs per week. Still got pain and constant tight calves, but able to manage it. Think it is something bio mechanical further up in the chain, perhaps glutes.

mine has been behaving for while - but I got an odd pain in the arch of my foot whilst driving and my heel grumbled when I got out of the car :(

hoping that stretching glute/hammy and calf will fend it off and it's just something to do with sitting wrong too long.

Thanks for the thoughts Happy G - yes, indeed, just want to be rid of that 'happily chop my foot off' feeling post run !
