Thanks Serend. I think my calves are the issue or my lower back! My lower back seems really tight and achy. Calf is a bit tight considering I’m not doing any real exercise. I haven’t tried electrical treatment. Will google that. Not contacted GP as I figured I would be told to rest etc.

I've been following ' The Run Experience' for a few years now and have just noticed they've have 3 episodes on PF - very interesting viewing (although not their usual sunny SF Bay backdrop !)

1 - Background/assessment

2 - Mobility
3 - Stability

Good luck - there's a piece in the first one that made me chuckle.

When he says "If you're leg does this, but doesn't do that, and you find it comes out like this...…..you're screwed!"

I'm not claiming to have all (any) answers to this niggly PITA of the condition but I have also been trying this stretch whilst on holiday.

I seem to have had some improvement, with my foot feeling more 'numb' than 'hurting' in the mornings.

However, I've also seen just how much trouble my desk bound job has put me in via the tightness in my hip flexors - stretched them on holiday and made every effort not to sit down whilst away. I'm sure this does my PF no good at all

I have been doing Julia’s workouts since lockdown (used to do them until a couple of years ago) and she had been doing a lot in hip flexibility and hamstrings knowing there is a few runners follow her and also from the amount of sitting we do these days. Seen huge improvements.

She has some free workouts in this page and also you’ll find links to her online gym. Free for 7 days if you joined and look at 10 week transformation Wyld Cat exercises you’ll find some stretches.

Thank you for these links - there's a lot there. I'm always amazed at these PTs, just how much work they put in
