What was Bristol’s problem TMW? I only managed to listen to the extra time.

Got to 28-0 up after 28 minutes and didn’t know what to do. When you’ve got a lead that high you don’t need to play unstructured, and run it every time, just close the game out

It was as though Bears forgot it was a knock out game, 28-0, 4 tries unlikely to lose, 5 points in the bag (if it was a League match). Quins then started dominating collisions on the game line, Bears looked tired, Quins gained energy from 500 fans who made more nioise than the 5500 Bears fans for most of the match. The rest is history. It's a 80 or 100 minute game not a 38 minute game. Quins did to Bears what Bears did to them earlier in the season.

There was also a report on the the BBC that Marler was helicoptered in on Saturday morning so he could spend time with his 4th kid born on Thursday morning. There might be a Sarries type player orientated culture going on with Quins.

Muscle versus flair on Saturday, I can't see Quins holding out Chiefs red zone, stuff it up your shirt play. Their only hope is that Chiefs have had 3 hard matches coming in to the final versus Quins 100 minute marathon. Beer on hand already, can't wait.

Looking forward to the highlights on 5 later.
Might try and seek out a free feed on saturday to try and watch and record the Lions on C4 to watch later.

I’m wine tasting so will miss the first half of the Lions I think. Tempted to watch on C4+1 and then record the prem final to watch an hour later. I can imagine this plan going wrong, I can also imagine the Lions game being a bit scrappy. Must get a now TV sky sports pass for the test games.

May look into a chiefs season ticket for next season as they’re local to me and my office is near the ground but in truth I don’t find them a very likeable team!

A Celt XV has been named vs Japan. There’s some doubt if it’s an official test match yet so perhaps after the match there will not have been a Scottish lions test starter since 2001.

The Lions XV is not surprising considering who was available for the Jersey camp. there's probably more of the test players on the bench than in the starting line-up.

How can i put it?

With covid concerns why would you play your main guys in a warm up, this way the big guns swerve any isolation issues and give some hopefulls a go.

But richmac, the hopefuls end up in the same camp with the same S&C personnel etc. I don't think Covid is it. I expect it is more to do with who has picked up the match playbook quicker and some boys arrived less than a week ago.
