Can't see past Chiefs. They will do what they have always done grind it out and find a way to win. Like Tigers is yesteryear and more recently Sarries. Think sale are the most potent threat but will half their team the distracted by SA selection ? Baff. FFS yeah, possibly our best game of the year, but for fuck all really. To qualify for the second tier euro cup, yeah whoop whoop, great for the lions boys to play well and they did and great for the massive pool of talent who are off to say ya to the Rec. So another year and we are completely in the same sodding place we have been for 2 or 3 years but with a slightly worse squad for next season. I could quote Shakespeare's Richard III opening about Cipirani but I won't. And you know what I think the problem is. |

For a bit of fun here’s my uncapped England XV backline. Would love to see some of these playing internationally over the summer (and beyond in Odogwu and Sleightholme’s case as they’re not in the squad - I’m sure POC will be when Bristol finish in the playoffs) Mitchell, Smith Hassell-Collins, Piers O Conor, Odogwu, Sleightholme De Glanville |

Sinfield Rhinos legend ditches the club he's done so much with work at Tigers displacing Mike Fordr. It's not quite the same situation but how long did GF last at Bath after his dads sacking? bbc.co.uk |

He has hardly "ditched" the club... "When I returned, I always said I would review my role after three years and that my reason for coming back was to help the club... My position is now further away from performance than I ever thought it would be... I love the club and the people I work with but I feel now is the right time for a new challenge." That, and his 16-year old son is part of Leeds' Academy. |

Was joking, but it's funny how they all go to Union though. Don't forget Sinfield tried union as a player briefly, very briefly. But my main thrust was the new dynamic at Tigers, interesting to see what impact. |

No money in league and Union is more global so more future jobs.

Got to respect his bravery in a sense - he had basically a job for life at Rhinos, but obviously wants to do some actual coaching of players, which isn't part of his role there. He's got a couple of sports science/management degrees and obviously played in an incredibly successful team, so it'll be interesting to see if he can make a go of it. I wouldn't read too much into his stint playing Union - that very much had the air of Leeds using it as a salary cap dodge - essentially delayed compensation for his final season as an RL player. Plenty of money in the NRL, TMW, courtesy of a 2 billion dollar Aussie tv deal. |

Incidentally, Sinfield & George Ford both played for the same amateur RL club in Oldham (Waterhead), as children, and Sinfield would've been working on a daily basis with Joe Ford when he was at Leeds. I wouldn't necessarily expect him to be on bad terms with Mike Ford or for it to automatically mean George Ford would be moving on.
