For my 200th volunteering I got the Run Director to announce it. This was easy as I was the Run Director that week.

Definitely cake for any flimsy excuse for a celebration.

I took 250 samosas - fresh from a local establishment. A change from cake!

I recently did my 50th, but it hadn't occurred to me to do anything particular. And I didn't hear the RD ask if anyone was reaching a milestone, because my hearing is rubbish and I wasn't even trying to listen.

I did send off for the tee shirt, though.

I remember when I first started partnering, at the start of each run in the brief, the RD would call people forward and present them with their t shirts! This was stopped just before I reached my 50th, and shirts started going straight to the runner.

Congrats Em!

I planned it so that I ran my 100th the weekend before my 50th birthday, and also got my 50th stint at volunteering in the week before - and then got a cake to celebrate the treble:

That's a great cake - was it vanilla sponge underneath?

For my 50th parkrun, a friend gave me a massive 50 badge to wear. Didn't do anything special for my 100th parkrun.

I tail walked my 250th run to also get my 25th volunteer. I made a party hat to wear and walked round with a party whistle! I also had to wear our parkrun milestone capes (yes two of them)! I took some homebaked cakes as it was also 2 days before my 50th birthday.

But I would say do what you feel comfortable with.

What do you do (if anything) when you hit a particular milestone?

I'm about to run my 250th...
