My wife, who is just getting into running again is getting a sharp pain just above her right hip. It’s just above the top of the hip bone, maybe a little more towards the front than the back. Any ideas what it might be, or how to relieve it?

I thought it might be caused by over-rotating the hips to compensate for inadequate knee lift? Or maybe tight hip flexors? She wants to try some stretches or excercises before a trip to the physio.

Got something to say?
