Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Wordle in 2 (fluke!).

@Torque Steer Thanks for the info / advice
@NZD Appreciate the feedback.

We'll see how it goes for a bit.
Did a 5x1k reps session off 4m50s/90s rest last night. Knackered but groin doesn't seem to be an issue today

Decent session, @festerarl!

Yesterday saw the first of the local 5k series, and with it being around 28 degrees I was glad I wasn't toeing the line! About half an hour with a rucksack before, during and after.

Ran early today; short and gentle.

Sounds positive re hamstring @Torque Steer.

Oops, thick thumb typing on phone again!

XC race OK this afternoon given the circumstances (4k x 5:35). Pleasant running conditions and firm ground despite winter. Slightly bumpy terrain in parts. Restricted effort to 'semi-hard', though HR might suggest otherwise (156/166)? Not that time mattered with only one M75-79 in the race 😁. Assured first (& last) regardless of my time! Only headed off 2/3 M70-74's this time (plus 3/6 M65's). The other M70 was only a bit ahead of me but I decided against giving chase (& had little left in the tank anyway)!

Up at 4.30am to get a long run in before the heat of the day. (1st time I've seen that hour for several years! - must be mad and I blame you lot for all the positivity and encouragement....).
Out for 1.5hrs at 19/20C, but really strange - I wanted a long slow session (based on HR) but for the 1st time I really had to motor to get my HR to the right level (136bpm). I tend to think it's to do with the unusually hour of the run and arcadian rhythms or something like that!

All the best for you Park Runners.

Nice running at my time of day festerarl good for the soul.

Sounds a good outing NZD ;-) First and last I like it!

It is far too hot for me and I have a good reason for not running although I did try.No air and hard to breathe and no sleep.Mr Wp have been getting strange issues and then stabbing chest pain high BP and pulse so paramedics called 5.5 hours later they gave him a battery of tests and all came out fine so need to go to hospital.
Needless to say I am like a limp dishcloth today.

That will have been scary for you and Mr WP, @Welshpoppy. Frustrating when things have settled by the time the paramedics have arrived. Hopefully the hospital can determine what the cause was. They will certainly be able to clarify if any heart attacks or stroke. Fingers crossed 🀞
