I had a little cap gun and immediately thought of the smell We didn't have an action man but my sister had a Sindy doll and horse. I was very envious! |

I had a plastic rocket with a metal nose piece. You could put the tiny plastic cylinder caps over it, ot tear the paper caps and put them behind. The aerodynamics were terrible, from memory it almost never hit the ground in a way that set off the caps.

You had to add weight to the nosecone so it would strike the ground nose first.

um
I had a variety of the cheap pastic rockets, with striker rod in the nose cone. I don't think any lasted more than a few minutes. |

No, but I was on the receiving end of my “friend’s” spud gun on numerous occasions. My parents were very risk averse (that’s probably where I get it from) and we’re positive that I’d probably blind someone if I had a spud gun. |

I had one of those Gats that I bought off a friend at school. It was clapped out and I was very disappointed compared with a Webley or BSA that I thought I might be getting.

Way back in 1972 I had a party for my 5th birthday in the house. One of the presents I opened was a hand grenade within which you could insert the caps. I couldnt wait for the party to end and get a shot of the hand grenade. Sadly after the party the hand grenade couldnt be found and I was devastated. I assumed one of my pals had nicked it and my Mum went along with the theory. It only occurred to me recently that my Mum probably felt it was an inappropriate toy for a 5 year old and so took it away. |
