You could put the tiny plastic cylinder caps over it, ot tear the paper caps and put them behind. The aerodynamics were terrible, from memory it almost never hit the ground in a way that set off the caps.

One of the presents I opened was a hand grenade within which you could insert the caps. I couldnt wait for the party to end and get a shot of the hand grenade. Sadly after the party the hand grenade couldnt be found and I was devastated. I assumed one of my pals had nicked it and my Mum went along with the theory. It only occurred to me recently that my Mum probably felt it was an inappropriate toy for a 5 year old and so took it away.
