STartsky and Hutch, mid to late 70s, I suppose they are a cardy really, my mum knitted one fo rmy older brother, we all wet ourselves laughing at him....

Ooh yes. Pushing to the front of the terrace in order to hang said scarf over the advertising hoardings.

(it must be said better than the current trend to have 'half and half' scarves)

When my current boss founded this business in the early 80's, he used to print silk scarves all week, then drive down to that there London at the weekend to sell them. Allegedly he once printed 500 QPR scarves with "Qeens Park Rangers" sold the lot, nobody noticed.

Of course no one bloody noticed, the print used to come off the first time the scarf was moved....
