Who or what are you looking forward to seeing?

I have been following Eilish McColgan so I will be interested to see how she goes (and old enough to remember her mum too).

I'm normally very excited but this seems a little flat and wrong to be happening TBH
I just hope all the athletes come out the other side in 1 piece and can still enjoy it although I expect it will be very odd.
Biggest sporting stage in the world with no spectators will be strange

Women's 100m and 200m are THE events for me. A certain Mr. Bolt agrees!

I just hope the events don't feel "flat" with no crowds. I'd hoped that the hosts would have come up with a good way of creating noise in the stadium even with limited crowds (thinking vuvuzela but without the annoyance or aerosol spread!), but if there's no-one there it will be odd.

Definitely looking forward to the w100m and w200m, but also the middle distance races.

And also looking forward to some event unexpectedly capturing my interest.

I'm also feeling a little flat about it all.

Are spectators banned? Last time I saw, it was going to be open to locals only, but that's a while ago, so things may have changed.

I do enjoy some of the lesser spotted sports getting some air time - the atmosphere usually helps to make them very watchable - things like weightlifting that I would never normally watch.

But yes - the women's sprints are certainly up there.

I think they changed that a couple of weeks ago and announced a Tokyo state of emergency which will mean no spectators. I may have misunderstood though.

I love, love, love the Olympics but it will be very strange with no crowds. Hope they don't resort to PL-style fake crowd noise for the TV coverage.

I think there has been a lack of build up in the MSM. I expect that to change this week. Lack of crowds, sort of agree, but the sport is the same... and it's not like we are there.
