As Delamere was cancelled today (disappointing as it was their anniversary) ran the new Phoenix Park (Runcorn) one today. Good course, mix of tarmac paths around an undulating park and then a splash (puddles!) along the canalside. Third time up the climb to the top of the park felt tough!

Not sure it's got capacity to be a huge parkrun as some of the paths are small and have tight turns, but gets a thumbs up from me.

Is Wythenshawe Park a reasonably fast course when its not too muddy?

^ Top 500 times: parkrun.org.uk

It is flat & fast when dry as a bone but a 'dead turn' near end of each lap does lose a bit of time, as does lapping runners thru narrower paths at end of last lap.

New one, fills the gaping chasm between Longford & Wythenshawe Parks... ;)

WHo reckons they could finish Longford Park, nip across in the car and complete Sale Water Park before the tail runner then? Might be worth a cheeky try one day...

You might need a bit of a swim to cross the mersey...

No swim, cut through towards Chortonville, pickup path at end of Brookburn then use Footbridge at Jacksons Boat. Driver'd likely still be sat at the Stretford Mall junction in that time.
