Me!

Though i'm seriously questioning my logic of doing my first half in the "heat of the summer". I did Race for Life last year in early July as my first ever race and boy, it was hot :$

As an aside, I was a bit spooked out when i got my number. I'm number 36, I'll be celebrating my 36th birthday that day and live in house number 36......freaky coincidence or what????

It has been known to rain on that day in July so you really can't tell, that's why I don't enter until I'm sure that the weather is in my favour. I don't do hot. Frobes is being gentle about the last hill.

Icemaiden, i can't really wish for rain on my birthday though, can I? LOL

How about cool with a tiny bit a drizzle in the morning with glorious sun from lunchtime onwards so I can enjoy a lovely leisurely lunch and drinks in a beer garden somewhere? That would be good, please.......... Well, i can wish!

I really want to do this in a time of 2-2:10 but have not raced on my own before and am worried about pace.

Mave, when i started training I was hoping for 2h 20 but then surprised myself in training. So started hoping for nearer to 2 hours but my last few long runs have been slooooow so back to thinking about 2h 15. If it's hot, i have no hope!
