@icemaiden: I have to plan a bit ahead, especially as I will use public transport to get there from SE London. And I should try to be back at home by 2.00 pm! Good incentive to aim for a pb!

I'm local so can drop out just after the 2 mile mark and do another mile and be home if needs be. By last minute I mean the week before so I can keep an eye on the weather, it's not one I usually include in my plan, but often end up doing.

I am only doing it for the second time. I did it in in 2009 when some friends wanted to run it with me, then they all dropped out. By myself I normally wouldn't have considered it, but as I had signed up anyway I went and walked away with a pb of 144.17!

So long as you cane the first mile down hill it is perfectly PBable as you need to pay it back on the last mile uphill.

Far superior to the Nike effort in March. And the last mile is up a gentle rise, not a hill!
