Novel race to go for 2017

Smugbloke Nov 2016 11:13am, 23 Nov 2016 8 posts	0 Smugbloke The significant other has suggested I find a novel race in UK that I put us in for with hotel, trimmings etc as a Christmas present. Weve done the Whipsnade stampede 10K for example and Giants Head marathon (coz of the spinning willy medal). She has in mind the Marathon de Merdoc in France next year. But 'm looking for something in the UK that's a bit quirky. 10K, 1/2 marathon or marathon. Any ideas?

Bacchus looks tempting, although if going for merdoc marathon, I'd save that for another year. I do a race the train here in Norfolk courtesy of North Norfolk Beach Runners. A great race with return trip on the mini train.
