I have neither club nor FETCH vest, so one or t'other will need to be requisitioned before I head north.

I will wear my Fetch vest - usually wear my club vest if it's a local race or others from the club are doing it, but this is a very long way from home for me and I won't 'know' anyone else there apart from all the lovely Fetchies, so I want to be recognised!

running4wanda - I know someone who needs number but unfortunately they are a senior (ie non vet) lady!
Not sure if people already know but I was looking up some race info on John Schofield site and there is a note on that to say the Tyne Tunnel is closed the 11 & 12 July - date of the Coastal Run & Great Run 10K. Just htought I'd let people know in case they were planning on travelling that way

I went back and found my email about this today. I appear to have asked for a bus ticket which was surprisingly organised of me!

Hi.
Is this a very hard course? First time I've done it.
Also you dont need anything to hand in to register and collect your number?
Thanks

Hi Ian, its a mixture of sand, trail and quiet road. Most of the sand is pretty firm if the tide is out, but you do have to cross small sections of soft sand when leaving and returning to the beach. Only two small climbs that I can remember (after Craster and before Longhoughton), otherwise flat. A couple of streams to cross on the beach, first one is within about a mile, so you will get your feet wet. On years when it has been very hot, it has been a bit tough, but the scenery is fantastic ! :-):-)
In recent years they have posted the number out, so collecting it is a new experience. I haven't checked the race instructions they emailed us (if you haven't got yours let me know your email address and I will forward them) about what if anything is needed to collect a number
