ice creams on the way round? I'm looking forward to this race even more now :)

I'm staying at the Hope and Anchor in Alnmouth . . and I'll be driving down from there to York on the Monday morning so could give lifts to a railway station or somewhere en route :)

All support will be greatly appreciated Anna!

NRGEE - will see how PF is after long run today, but hope I can keep it at bay so I can at least trot round - thanks for the tip about the shoes, I was wondering if I should wear some old ones as salt water doesn't tend to do them a lot of good ;-)

I forgot you were doing this one Rich - will you be available for hugging duty at all? I do hope so :-)

I'm staying in Warkworth, and driving back south on Monday, so may also be able to offer a lift somewhere. This link might be useful for accommodation

There used to be a super little guest house in Alnmouth, only 200 yds from the beach - "Copper Beach" in Northumberland Street - but that was in 2000, the last time I ran this event. Breakfast at 6am was served willingly and I wnt back for a grand showr after the race. Wonder if it's in the linked pages above? ^

Just looked up my 1990 time - I can add at least a minute a mile to that now!
