No Anj I just know how the system works from people who are involved in other parkruns.
I think you could probably get more details from Sweatshop in Reading as I believe they are behind it.

new pb for this today.
amazing - took me ages to beat my old pb on this course. i set a new one (pb) at winchester and then went and beat my other pb at nhtt today!
does that make sense?

Really, Sweatshop :S.... I kind of have to say, that's a shame, mainly because I like the idea that an individual has put it all together and done the hard work. A corporation running an event isn't quite the same.

Anj - Sweatshop are behind parkrun UK in quite a big way but as far as I know their influence has never been exerted in any way that I as a runner would feel bad about. On the contrary. And without knowing for sure I expect that the staff at the Reading branch feel just as personally involved in the Reading parkrun as any of the other organizers do about their parkruns.
