Crammy cancelled the training camp at Kielder next weekend, stating that due to a family illness, he needed to spend time with family.

He then appeared on the BBC this weekend commentating from Paris. Strange that.

it's a bit like the 'cult' of cyclo-sportives in this country at the moment, all the rage to ride on public roads for 25+ squids a go. they are not races, although some like to think that, and are akin to marathons in the sense that most people are just getting round to finish. saying that, I wish that I could run a marathon?

Hello Pilot , i' cant do Belsay which is a pity because it looks good. Have you ever done any of the Derwent reservoir TT ?. Hopefully start soon. I'm planning a 260K round trip (plus some bike support at a race) at the weekend if i can kick the cold and the weather is ok.

If i can kick the cold and the weather is ok Muddy . That's just how far it is to a mates house , have a ride around a race ( i should be running Grrr) and back the next day after a night on the tiles. I've done bugger all since going to Malta so i need something to get my teeth into.

Got any mates in Derwent cycling club btw? . Their website is packed full of no information on them.

flip, derwent hilly TT in May, about 10-15 miles? gruesome. starts in edmundbyers along to blanchland and then up and up for about 4 miles to the top of the moors and then along and high speed back down to the finish. really hard work. it was 3*C on the top last year. fun :-)

I'll probably do it this year again.
