good stuff GG! There are a couple of places to park - Claremont Road car park or on Park Terrace. Park Terrace is cheaper (50/hour). Not sure if this link is going to work but this is a map: http://www.bing.com/maps/?wip=2&v=2&style=r&rtp=~&&cp=54.97950~-1.61261&lvl=14&sp=aN.54.97950_-1.61261_Claremont%20Rd,%20Newcastle%20Upon%20Tyne%20NE1%208&msnurl=map.aspx?L%3dEUR%26C%3d54.97950%2c-1.61261%26A%3d7.16667%26P%3d%7c54.97950%2c-1.61261%7c1%7cClaremont%2bRd%2c%2bNewcastle%2bUpon%2bTyne%2bNE1%2b8%7cL1%7c%26redirect%3dfalse&msnculture=en-US#JmNwPTU0Ljk3OTQ5OTk5OTk5OTk5NH4tMS42MTI2MTAwMDAwMDAwMDEmbHZsPTE0JmRpcj0wJnN0eT1yJnJ0cD1hZHIufmFkci4mbW9kZT1EJnJ0b3A9MH4wfjB+ |

oh and yes 9am start. Most people generally meet up at the finish point to drop of bags/jackets/stuff and then wander over to the start line.

(the road that is called) brandling park is another option for parking (also pay and display). And walk through the underpass into the park.

Thanks Sue/monseb1 How long do I need to allow for the walk back from finish line? If I'm there for 8.30 will that be enough time or shall I aim for nearer 8/8.15? will you be there this week? |

I'm hoping to be there too GG - it's very friendly. On another note - would I be mad to do the Run for Bob in road shoes? Not something completely without tread, but maybe my retired Nike Pegasus? I've done it in them before, but that was July and I'm thinking it'll be a bit muddier and icier. I don't have any trail shoes.

TS, I ran the resolution run in my Nike Pegs, and was ok apart from a couple slips. I might be working Sunday, but if not I'll try and get along to Run For Bob. In other news.... Coastal Run entries open January 22nd And I see that Niyc has announced 2 special guests on facebook for parkrun 1st birthday on the 15th
