The Loftus Poultry Run is still on at 11a.m. tomorrow. The organisers report the off-road sections are un-runable and so the race will be all on roads. They will take entries on the day (provided they don't reach their limit). There's more at northeastraces.com

I agree Scribbler - hats off to the marshalls who stood around for hours in sub zero temperatures. It was a good day for racing as there was no wind. I got cold VERY quickly after it finished despite wearing a pair of thick winter tights under my running gear!

I'd definitely do that again next year. Not an easy course but well organised and a great atmosphere.

According to Barry Cornelius on twitter and the NS Poly website the Woodlawn Boxing Day Pudding Run has been postponed: nspoly.co.uk :-( Anyone fancy a festive joglet on the beach instead?

Perhaps a Boxing Day dip instead.... which I was trying to worm out of by using the pudding run as my excuse!

I always intend to do the pudding Run but NEVER wake up in time! Then when I do wake up I'm only ever fit for a stroll along the beach and a nice big cup of coffee at Crusoe's
