On a positive note, it's now scheduled for 30 Jan which means I can run it too. As long as I can find some fell shoes to fit my chunky feet!

it's about 2 1/2 hour drive back to my home in bedlington, probably 3 to the town, ponteland-Carter bar-Bonchester bridge-Hawick-ettrick is shortest.

Can I just ask where Eskdale eureka is - I have put Eskdale into Google and it is directing me to Whitby - is that right? Just wondering as I might be able to run this if it is postponed to January. does anyone know who has done it before whether lots of navigation is required. Looking on the website it looks like a fairly straightforward route?
