Have a great time all you Coastal runners - especially you, GG. I reckon you'll love it. It's the only race that could make me wish I'd been doing longer runs this year instead of focusing on triathlons. I'll come back and do it again one year.

alnwickharriers.co.uk is now back. It says "All race numbers and chips have been sent to runners well in advance. Everything else remains pretty much the same as recent years ie coaches leaving from Hipsburn First School, car parking at Alnmouth Football Club, etc."

the Northumberland coastal run was at its beautiful best today . even the sea fret kept up cool for a while and gave a ghostly feel to it with the runners disappearing into the fret . I wasn't racing so able to plod in the sea and take in the beauty of the place . magic :-)

I REALLY enjoyed it although might not have thought that the whole way round, actually that's not true I heart it but my legs disagreed!

I know what you mean about the ghostly feel on the beach the 2nd beach I couldn't see the front runners.

Now we all know I'm a slow plodder and I was happy with under 3hrs but did 2h 42m which I'm over the moon with.

Thanks to the Striders for letting me gate crash & been so lovely. All made for a great start to the day.
