It says on the website 'All routes will be signed so no navigation needed'. According to the route http://262.hardmoors110.org.uk/data/route/Rosedale10maps2013.pdf, it looks like an out and back (plus an extra downhill at the end :-)) across the moors with a bit of tarmac. There is a bit of a hill going out of Hutton le Hole, but you get to go down it on the way back  It may well be that the only marshalls will be at the turn around point (also a drinks station). I have run that route before, it isn't difficult to navigate

results for the hardmoors marathon , half marathon and 10k are now up on the website . twas a brilliant sunny day right in the centre of the north York moors . not many local races series are so stunning. |
